Jack Holladay is one of JA's true leaders. Giving more than 31 years to the organization, he continues to serve today as a volunteer member of the JA Pioneers. Jack joined JA in 1971 as Founding Executive Director in Austin, Texas. He moved through a variety of field leadership roles, including service as President of the JA offices in both Dallas and Washington, DC, before joining the Area Relations Team at JA Headquarters. Jack retired from JA as Senior Vice President of Area Relations May 30, 2003.
During his career, Jack received numerous Area performance awards while serving in Austin and DC, including Regional Growth Awards, Area Achievement Awards and the prestigious Charles R. Hook Award. He was a thought leader on many taskforces and committees, including the Applied Economics Taskforce, Field Marketing Committee, Field Personnel Committee, Field Operations Advisory Committee, Metro Strategy Committee, Rural Outreach Taskforce, Insurance Taskforce, Pension Management Committee, and more. He also served stints as Chairman of the Regional Training Seminar and Vice Chairman of the National Training Seminar. Jack was a member of both the Vision '99 and the ImpACT 2005 Strategic Planning teams. In his Area Relations role, Jack worked extensively with local Boards of Directors and staff professionals and he was instrumental in developing the 'Board Effectiveness Model' that was used throughout the organization.
In reflecting on his career, Jack is most proud of the opportunities he had to serve many great professionals, volunteers, and students in support of the outstanding mission and results of JA.
