"Practical. Informative. Engaging."
--- What educators and volunteers are saying about JA
JA Travel and Tourism
Junior Achievement gratefully acknowledges the Destination and
Travel Foundation, Tauck-Romano Innovative Philanthropy, Shop
America Alliance, and the American Express Foundation for their support of the program.
Junior Achievement has created program supplements to introduce students to exciting career opportunities in the travel and tourism industry, and also to demonstrate how this industry helps every community in which it operates.
The JA Travel and Tourism supplement is designed for high school students taking part in any JA program. Following participation in the supplement, students will be able to:
- Demonstrate the effect the travel and tourism industry has on local, national, and global economies and communities.
- Analyze how the travel and tourism industry can influence a person’s quality of life through employment opportunities and the personal benefits of travel.

The JA Travel and Tourism supplement to JA Job Shadow is designed for high school students participating in JA Job Shadow. To better understand the various careers within the travel and tourism industry, students complete the supplement through classroom activities and during their job shadow experience
