Programs :: JA Job Shadow

JA Job Shadow takes students into the workplace to learn about careers.February 2, 2007, marked the successful kick-off of job shadowing across the country! Thanks to the support of countless businesses, schools, agencies, and organizations at the national, state, and local levels, young people gained an up-close look at the world of work through job shadowing.

On Capitol Hill, JA students from nine JA offices shadowed the offices of more than 30 members of Congress, as well as personnel at several federal agencies. Participating agencies included the U.S. Treasury Department, Small Business Administration, and U.S. Departments of Education and Labor. Job shadowing also occurred at national media outlets and the New York Stock Exchange.

A special thanks to JA Job Shadow 2007 title sponsor ING for making this year’s event memorable!
