Be a Volunteer! Get Involved!
Junior Achievement (JA) is the world's largest organization dedicated to educating students in grades K-12 about entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy through experiential, hands-on programs.
It is the dedication of volunteers across the state, people from large and small businesses, factory workers and financial advisors, business people from all walks of life just like you, who volunteer in local schools and make a difference, one class at a time.
Check out this video and see how JA volunteers really make a difference.
Who volunteers?
Junior Achievement's volunteers come from all walks of life, yet share a common vision: sharing a message of hope and opportunity with each young person they reach.
Through volunteer partnerships from organizations large and small, or individuals interested in sharing their experiences with the young people of their community, JA classroom volunteers inspire, prepare, and empower. They band together to teach the importance of workforce readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy. JA volunteers believe they can make a difference - and Worldwide, teach 8 million students a year that they can make a difference, too.
If you are already a JA volunteer, we thank you. It's your effort and selfless dedication that truly makes a difference. If you haven't yet had the opportunity, register to volunteer today. The impact will last a lifetime.
What is the role of a JA volunteer?
JA volunteers bring a real world perspective to young people. Classroom volunteers are provided with hands-on activities and attend a two-hour orientation session to prepare for the classroom experience. Classroom activities promote entrepreneurship, work readiness and financial literacy.
