Overview

The Rochester Business Hall of Fame is dedicated to recognizing the contributions and entrepreneurial spirit of our area’s most enterprising leaders.  The Rochester Business Hall of Fame includes 68 distinguished men and women, selected since its inception in 2001, who have made a significant difference in the business world, in our community and beyond.

Selection Criteria

To be considered for induction into the Rochester Business Hall of Fame, an individual must:

Selection Process

Each year an independent Advisory Committee recommends honorees for the Rochester Business Hall of Fame based on the above selection criteria.  The committee is made up of educators, scholars, business leaders, representatives from the city of Rochester, philanthropic groups, and a representative from Junior Achievement, the Rochester Business Journal and the Rochester Museum and Science Center.  The independent Advisory Committee makes recommendations to a Steering Committee, made up of the three partners in the Rochester Business Hall of Fame:  Junior Achievement, "The Rochester Business Journal", and the Rochester Museum and Science Center.
