Volunteer Role and Expectations

1.   Set an appointment to meet with the classroom teacher before your program  begins.  Discuss the checklist provided by JA.

2.    Be a positive adult role model - Always be positive with students.

3.   Serve as an activity facilitator - It's the volunteer’s role to lead the activities and bring  them to life.

4.    Serve as a business resource - Volunteers are the link to the working world.

5.    Share your experience & knowledge - Bring your business, education, and life experiences with you to the classroom.

6.    Convey your enthusiasm - This is your chance to engage andexcite students about business, their education and career opportunities.  Volunteers demonstrate one pathway to success.

7.    Be prepared and punctual - Read through activities before your sessions and  provide practical examples from your own experiences.
