The JA Bowling for Financial Literacy fundraiser is a “party with a purpose” -an opportunity to assist Junior Achievement deliver financial literacy, work readiness and entrepreneurship curriculum to over 50,000 West Michigan students and have a great time doing it.

During the 2011-2012 School Year JA will be throwing parties across West Michigan (Holland, Grand Haven, Grand Rapids & Muskegon to be exact) celebrating our awesome JA Bowling Fundraisers who last year brought in more than $70,000 for JA! This year JA will be bringing you a rockin’ good time with our Junior Achievement Rock-N-Bowl events. We hope that you will put together a team of 5 bowlers and consider joining in. This year we are encouraging all of our bowlers to dress up and will be offering some great prizes for best dressed. You could be anyone… Elvis, Pink, Slash, Tommy Lee, Madonna, John Lennon or Pat Benetar, really any rocker will do. When you are in your car alone ‘rocking’ out, who do you rock out to? That is who you should dress as!

YOU truly can help Junior Achievement empower West Michigan students to own their economic success by joining in on the fun! Bowlers will spend time before the event fundraising for JA and then gather across West Michigan to celebrate all of their fundraising efforts. Each bowlers is asked to secure donations from friends, family members, co-workers, vendors and the like, raising a minimum of $100 for Junior Achievement. To make your goal of $100 even easier, Junior Achievement has collaborated with firstgiving.com to offer online tools which will allow you to send email, facebook, Twitter and LinkedIn requests/ updates on your fundraising efforts.
