You know how people always say you can be whatever you want to be? That’s true. The only catch is you have to have the skills to get there. The JA Fellows Program can help you get those skills. You’ll also gain confi dence and recognition as you get access to the world of business you simply can’t get in school.

How the program works:
  • 1st Semester: Meet one night a week. You and your team of 20–25 will create and manage a company of your own.
  • 2nd Semester: Meet 2 nights a month. You’ll learn to manage personal fi nances and your career aspirations.
  • Quarterly Saturday Speaker Series events. Speakers include prominent members of the Atlanta business community. Topics and workshops explore business and workforce-related issues.
  • Shadow a high-profi le businessperson from a profession of your choice. TV and radio personalities, legislators and entrepreneurs are just a few examples of professionals you will learn from.
 


Application Process:
  • Applications should be submitted as soon as possible
  • Students must be available for 15 minute interviews
  • Students who are selected will be notified by phone 
  • Students who are not selected will be notified by letter.
All program events and meetings will be held in Sandy Springs or Downtown Atlanta.
 
Requirements:
  • Be a 9th – 11th grade high school student
  • Demonstrate commitment to the program
  • Show community involvement, extracurricular involvement or work experience
  • Exhibit leadership qualities
  • Teacher or community recommendation
  • Interview
