
Volunteers bring diverse experiences and new prospective into the classroom. Like any personal or professional commitment, reliability is critical. As role models for our young people, JA volunteers should exhibit a high level of integrity. The dynamic interaction between the volunteer and the students promotes active learning and brings theory to life. JA volunteers serve as a
positive influence and help teach students the importance of making sounds decisions in the choices they will face ahead of them.

What to expect as a JA volunteer:

Your Junior Achievement experience will be educational and fun!

All materials and training are provided for you.

Time commitment is 30 minutes for 5 visits to an Elementary School; 45
minutes for 6 to 8 visits to a Middle School; and 45 minutes to 1-hour for 8 to 10 visits to a High School

You can request the preferred level of class, time of day, and geographical location of the school. JA staff will put you in contact with a classroom teacher.
