Two Junior Achievement consultants give a high school student practical experience with a job interview during a Success Skills class.

Consultants LaDonia Watkins (center) and Paula Maggard (r) help a high school student experience an actual job interview during the Success Skills program. JA programs are a success due to the dedication of community volunteers like LaDonia and Paula.

JA Volunteers will met with 8,397 Michiana youth during the 2007/2008 school year, bringing the real world to students and opening their minds to their potential. JA's success is due directly to the high quality of our volunteers and their willingness to help students develop the basic tools to be wise consumers, CEO's, and/or dedicated and productive employees as adults.

Our consultants come from all walks of life: the bulk work for or are retired from area businesses, but many school districts and universities see value in volunteering for Junior Achievement, as do representatives of federal, state, and local governments. Working parents like often volunteer to consult for their children's classes, and many JA consultants this program year will be presenting JA's free enterprise educational programs to two or more classes! [Find out who on the Multi-Achievers page.]

On behalf of the students they are helping to learn the economics of life, Junior Achievement would like to extend a heartfelt "THANK YOU" to all of our area volunteers! Following is a list of all 2006/2007 consultants and the companies they work for.  If you have any questions about volunteering, please email us at info@michianaja.org or phone Sue at (269) 983-7579.
