Junior Achievement of Michiana serves Berrien and Cass Counties in Michigan, and St. Joseph, Marshall, and now Elkhart Counties in Indiana.
 

       Junior Achievement of Elkhart County located in Elkhart Indiana, has merged with Junior Achievement of Michiana, effective July 1, 2009. The two JA offices combined, reached over 10,400 students in six counties in 2008-2009. The collaboration will allow both offices to leverage relationships with donors and educators, and to increase their impact in the Michiana area.

        Nick Dalton, President of Junior Achievement of Michiana said, "This merger is a wise business decision for JA of Elkhart County and JA of Michiana, as it will allow both offices to join their resources, and increase their capacity. It will ultimately benefit the young people in our community by giving more students access to JA's work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy programs."

        "All good businesses are evaluating their organizations to become more effective in the future, and this move shows that we are no different," Dalton added.
