A consultant presenting the JA Dollars and Sense program.       In January 2010, Junior Achievement of Michiana  teamed  up with Disney and the HandsOn Network to celebrate local volunteerism through the "Give a Day. Get a Disney Day." program.

Disney's goal was to  help  inspire one million people to volunteer at least one day of service to a participating organization in their communities.

Volunteering in a JA classroom, serving as a JA Job Shadow host or participating in one of JA's site-based programs all fit the Disney criteria. To celebrate people's good works, Disney gave each volunteer a free, one-day admission to Disneyland® Resort or Walt Disney World® Resort.

Disney's one million volunteer goal was reached by the first week in March, so the program is now ended.  However, several consultants for Junior Achievment of Michiana will be enjoying a free day at a Disney theme park as an added Thank You for their participation in the JA program!
