Junior Achievement of Arkansas Strike for Education
Impacting the Future
Support Junior Achievement in your spare time! If you like to help kids, win prizes and have fun, this is right up your alley. That's what the Junior Achievement's Strike for Education Bowl-a-thon is all about - getting together with co-workers, family, friends and vendors, while winning prizes and having a great time. It's a FUN-raiser as well as a FUND-raiser!
Junior Achievement's Strike for Education Bowl-a-thon is one of our largest annual fund-raisers. The Bowl-a-thon consists of bowlers (and their families) from local companies getting pledges and bowling for a two-hour period to raise money for JA programs. The dollars generated by this event help provide in-school education programs for students in grades K-12 throughout Arkansas.
Each Bowl-a-thon team consists of five team members, and each team's goal is to raise $500 (or $100 per bowler) to support Junior Achievement programs with a $75 team registration fee (companies generally provide the fee). Don't worry if you're not the world's greatest bowler. Most of the 2,200 participants are local business people like you, getting together with co-workers to have fun and win prizes for a great cause - educating our children!
Since Bowl-a-thons are a major source of fund raising for Junior Achievement of Arkansas, joining a team means you're playing a crucial role in helping kids learn about the importance of staying in school - and how business works!
If your company doesn't participate with a team - there are other ways you can contribute to the Bowl-a-thon. Your company may want to consider being a T-shirt sponsor by having your company logo printed on the Bowl-A-Thon T-shirts....or, you could provide gifts-in-kind to be given away at the event as door prizes. Maybe, you would be interested in providing some promotional items from your company to be given away to the bowlers. Contact Angela Harris for additional information or to discuss bowling with us in your district in August, February or March.
Thank you to all of our volunteers and participants for taking time out your busy schedules to raises funding for Junior Achievement programs in the great state of Arkansas!
