In the past 25 years, Junior Achievement of Abilene has impacted the lives of over 85,000 students, involved hundreds of volunteers from the business and military community, and has had financial support from large and small businesses, foundations and individuals to help grow JA programs and awareness.

In celebration of Junior Achievement’s 25^th Anniversary, the 2008 Business Hall of Fame will honor those individuals whose business innovations, effective management and civic involvement have made a major impact and positive difference in companies and communities in and around the Abilene area. 

Inductees’ records of achievement must demonstrate: Business Excellence; courageous thinking and actions: Visionary leadership; and community involvement.  Through these accomplishments, Laureates serve as role models for the next generation of business leaders, many of whom are currently Junior Achievement students.

Proceeds from the celebration dinner and awards ceremony will benefit Junior Achievement and their programs in the Abilene area.  JA brings the real world into the classroom and after-school settings with hands-on experiences that teach young people about business, financial literacy, workforce readiness - - the economics of life.
