United States Virtual Titan Competition

Join JA Worldwide online in the 2009 JA Titan United States Virtual Competition and see how effective you are at managing your own corporation. As a participating student, you will take on the role of a corporate business leader by making corporate decisions to steer your bank to success. Student teams compete against students from the all across the United States for the chance to win first place.

Competition Overview

Join JA Worldwide® online in the JA Titan 2009-2010 United States Virtual Competition. Participating
students will take on the role of a corporate business leader by making corporate decisions to steer their business to success. Student teams will be prompted to make decisions that affect the profitability and sustainability of their virtual company and will attempt to outperform competitors in profit, sales, and market share. Students will set prices, determine production levels, invest in capital, develop budgets, and plan marketing and research. Student teams compete against students from all across the United States for the chance to win first place.

Who is eligible to participate?

Eligibility is limited to United States’ student teams that have completed the JA Titan program during the 2009-2010 academic year.

Virtual Elimination Rounds

• Round One: April 19-May 6, 2010

• Round Two: May 7-17, 2010

• Round Three: (if needed) May 18-28, 2010

Registration

Only U.S. Member Offices are eligible to register for the JA Titan 2009-2010 United States Virtual Competition. Registration is now open and will remain open until Thursday, April 15, 2010. In addition to paying the $70 entrance fee, all participating JA Member Offices must agree to submit team contact information into the registration system by the stated deadline. Late registrations will not be accepted.

Payment

The $70 entrance fee is due upon completion of the online registration. Credit cards are the preferred method of payment.

Cash Prizes:

• First Place: $1500 per team

• Second Place: $1000 per team

• Third Place: $500 per team
