- parents have a chance to participate in their child's classroom
in a very meaningful way, different from other school volunteer opportunities;
- a satisfied volunteer builds a lasting relationship with a teacher
and school;
- the students benefit from the program content;
- teachers have a pool of volunteers that come back for a variety
of projects;
- and the school can target businesses and individuals to get involved
with their school by asking them to participate in JA.
Sharing the workload of recruiting, follow up, and recognition creates
a true community partnership and spirit that lasts beyond a specific business,
teacher, principal, volunteer, or JA staff."
