Bernard M. Baruch worked as an office boy at 19. At 25 he became a Wall Street partner and made $1 million before he was 30. Baruch was a trusted advisor of numerous U.S. Presidents, including Harding, Coolidge, Hoover, Roosevelt, and Wilson. He was an expert on social and economic reforms and a statesman respected throughout the world. In 1953, the School of Business and Civic Administration of CCNY was named in his honor.
