In 1980 Stanley Gault stunned the corporate world by accepting the helm of Rubbermaid and immediately reorganized the company. He centralized purchasing and divested weak operations. Then he accelerated product development, making the company a fountain of new wares. In Gault’s 11 years as CEO, he transformed Rubbermaid from a little known maker of dustpans into one of America’s most admired companies. Mr. Gault also served as CEO of Goodyear. |
