Royal Little is often referred to as “The Father of Conglomerates” because he is one of the world’s largest and most successful masters of “unrelated diversification.” He disliked stagnant capital and believed that a well-run conglomerate could pick up sound companies and stimulate their return on investment. As a result, Royal Little pieced together one of the largest collections of unrelated companies in the world.
