Roswell Garst traveled thousands of miles along dirt roads selling hybrid corn seed to farmers. Each year he gave away bags of the seed to any farmer who agreed to plant it, thereby converting farmers who were reluctant to adopt agricultural advancements. Garst believed that each improvement made farmers more receptive to other agricultural innovations. Garst also found new ways of developing low-cost feed. | ||||||||
