John Schnatter created the Papa John’s concept in 1984 when he began delivering pizza out of the back of his father’s tavern in Jeffersonville, Indiana. With an unwavering commitment to quality and the use of superior-quality ingredients, Papa John’s has since grown to nearly 3,000 restaurants in 50 states and 26 countries.
At an early age, Schnatter learned from his father and grandfather the importance of a strong work ethic and how to focus on what he did best. Today, these concepts are the hallmarks of the Papa John’s philosophy.
