Arthur Blank is co-founder of The Home Depot, Inc., the world’s largest home improvement retailer and second largest retailer in the United States. When he retired in 2001, the company was a component of the Dow Jones Industrial Average and one of Fortune’s “Global Most Admired Companies.” Blank purchased the Atlanta Falcons in 2002 and doubled season ticket sales the first year – an NFL record. He brought similar enthusiasm and success to the Georgia Force. In his first season as owner of the arena football club, the Force advanced to the league championship game for the first time. Through the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and personal giving, Blank has granted more than $200 million to support early childhood, the arts, education, and parks and greenspace.
