Following a 17-year career with Litton Industries, Harry Jack Gray joined United Aircraft, the predecessor of the United Technologies Corporation, in 1971 as president and chief administrative officer and as a member of the board of directors. He was named chief executive officer in 1972 and served as chairman from 1974 until his retirement in 1986. Mr. Gray remained on the board of directors and served as chairman of the board’s finance committee until 1987.
During World War II, Mr. Gray served four and a half years with the U.S. Army, including three and a half years overseas. He attained the rank of captain, and received numerous medals, including the Silver and Bronze Star, for gallantry in action.
Currently, Harry Jack Gray is chairman and chief executive officer of the firm of Harry Gray Associates, chairman of the board of Mott Corporation, and chairman of the board of SourceOne. |
