Fuel Cells: Powering Our Economic Future

Foundation has partnered with Junior Achievement to bring schools a
complementary program on the business and economics of the fuel cell
industry to enhance social studies/economics curriculum, Fuel
Cells: Powering Our Economic Future. The program targets
students in grades 5-8 and is designed to enhance their social
science curriculum.

Program Objectives
The Junior Achievement program will:
- Introduce students to the business and economics of fuel cells.
- Provide students with opportunities to analyze and participate in decisions revolving around the business and economics of fuel cells, considering factors such as risk, opportunity costs, and profit.
- Encourage students to evaluate the business and economics of fuel cells, including their impact on society and their effects on future employment and career opportunities.
- Provide students with an understanding of the scarcity of resources involved with energy consumption.
- Foster an understanding among students that current business decisions and practices influence the future and contribute to an economically sustainable future.
