About JA :: Who We Are
Like many not-for-profits, the culture of Junior Achievement is a decidedly mission-driven one. From the board of directors to senior management to staff members, the JA community is filled with dedicated professionals committed to delivering its programs of hope and opportunity to students around the world.
Through the key content areas of entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and work readiness, JA inspires students to succeed in a global economy. We reach 8 million students each year around the world. Our success stems from great people who are team players and share a common enthusiasm for the great mission of this organization.
Headquartered in Colorado Springs, the JA USA provides strategic direction, leadership, and support to the 2,700 employees and 8,100 volunteer board members across the country. With approximately 100 staff at the JA USA office, there are career opportunities at all levels of the organization.
We also offer many fulfilling career opportunities at our nearly 150 local area offices located around the country. Employment with a local JA office gives you the most contact with students, volunteers, and educators. Entry-level staff positions include managers for district operations, education, programs, marketing, and special events. Staff leadership positions include Vice President of Development or Operations and Chief Staff Officers. Staff positions work closely with volunteer boards of directors, made up of business, education and civic leaders to set policy and direction for each local JA operation.
We encourage you to apply for a position and join a winning team of people, who educate and inspire students, helping prepare them for the real world.
